Project "Graphics of the Ukrainian Language" is a collaboration between 33 artists in order to promote Ukrainian fonts through art and animation. Every artist got a letter to create an illustration around it, which then was animated and shown in a gallery on lcd screens. Font Rutenia used in this project was created by famous Ukrainian calligrapher Vasil Chebanik.
My letter was letter "Ж". Word "life" in Ukrainian begins with it, so I felt like my illustration should manifest majesty of nature with its beauty, richness and rot. I also animated it trying to move as many small details as possible, since everything is nature remain in constant movement.
